Keeping Our Focus is a weekly communication, produced by Center Schools Superintendent George Welsh, aimed at keeping the staff and community up to date on the happenings of the Center Consolidated School District.

The Center School District is located in the San Luis Valley in south-central Colorado. Serving approximately 600 students, Center Schools has been educating children from the Center, La Garrita and surrounding areas since it was established in 1918.
The Center district has five schools; Haskin Elementary which serves students from Pre-K to 5th grade, Skoglund Middle School serving students in grades 6-8, Center High School which is a traditional 9-12, an alternative 9-12 school called The Academic Recovery Center of the San Luis Valley, and Center Virtual Academy an online 9-12 learning community.
With a strong focus on curriculum and outstanding teachers who provide high quality instruction Center Schools is Focused on the Future, providing students with skills they need to prepare for careers that have not yet been invented.
