I thought it would be fun to link everyone to an old video about the Lindamood-Bell Pueblo Schools Project that took place a little more than ten years ago.  Folks who have been involved in education in Colorado for a long time might remember when Bessemer Elementary School was the talk of the nation because of its relationship with Lindamood-Bell and its amazing increase in CSAP reading performance over a period of several years.  Fortunately for our kids in Center, it is being proven once again that the Lindamood-Bell literacy acquisition model is a great way to bring significantly at risk readers up to grade level.
In honor of fine performances this past week by the Center Schools bands I am posting a video Kate Newmyer made a few years ago in promotion of the great student participants she has.
With our new PK-12 facility beginning to take shape I thought I would remind everybody about what the landscape of Center Schools will look like by the end of the summer when our new school is completed and our old facilities have been removed.  Through this video you can see a fly around of what the school district property will look like when the project is completed.
This video was produced by Center High School graduate Stefan Welsh in conjunction with the recent Lobato v Colorado lawsuit.  In the spring of 2011 Stefan travelled around the state in an effort to “bring the conditions of many of Colorado’s schools to court” to show the Lobato v Colorado presiding judge.  Through this video the plaintiffs were able to do an effective job of helping Judge Rappaport see the many inequities in Colorado school facilities and this contributed to the victory in the case.
This video is compliments of Center High School Science and Math Teacher Daniel Newmyer and it describes the Scientific Research program available to all Center High School students.
This video is compliments of Amy Halbach’s 4th grade class.  Her kids took on the responsibility to snap a picture of our construction site from her classroom each day during the fall semester.  We combined these images with pictures taken over the summer from the Board Room as the construction project progressed and the end result is a nice time-lapse photography project that shows the construction of our new school from the end of May 2011 through Christmas 2011.

This video takes viewers on a trip through ninety three years of the people who have blessed the hallways of the school buildings in Center, Colorado.
This video is about the Lindamood-Bell® School Partnership in Center, Colorado. Haskin Elementary achieves turnaround success by implementing Lindamood-Bell's on-site partnerships to improve teacher instruction and student learning.
